Disclaimer
1Educational purpose only
NextOrderAlpha provides market-regime dashboards, the MQN metric, breadth and leadership analytics, and related educational tools. Everything we publish is for informational and educational purposes only. We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial planner, and we do not place trades or manage money.
2Not financial advice
Nothing on the Service is a recommendation, solicitation, signal, or advice to buy, sell, or hold any instrument. Regime classifications, MQN and ATR readings, rankings, market-type labels, and any "coming soon" strategy or journal features are informational tools — not instructions. We do not know your circumstances and cannot advise you. Consult a licensed professional before making financial decisions.
3About the MQN metric
The Market Quality Number (MQN) is NextOrderAlpha's own measure of market-regime quality. It is a descriptive, rules-based calculation — the parameters, bands, and universe are ours — and it is published transparently so you can understand how to read it. MQN describes conditions; it does not predict outcomes or tell you what to trade.
4Data & AI limitations
Market data may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors. Where features are not yet live, we label them "coming soon" rather than show placeholder values. Any automated or AI-generated output can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading and should never be the sole basis for a financial decision. Always verify independently.
5Past performance
Past performance and historical regime readings do not guarantee or indicate future results. Historical replay and backward-looking examples are illustrative only. Hypothetical or model-based outcomes have inherent limitations and do not represent actual trading.
6Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for your own trading and investment decisions and for any resulting profits or losses. Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. By using the Service you acknowledge and accept these risks. This disclaimer should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Risk Disclosure.
7Methodology & independence
MQN is our metric. The parameters are ours; the idea is simple.
The Market Quality Number (MQN) is NextOrderAlpha's own measure of market-regime quality. The inputs and the idea are shared openly — daily price & return series over rolling lookbacks, graded for strength and consistency and paired with a volatility read. The exact parameters and calibration are ours, but the idea is simple and we explain it in plain language.
MQN combines the consistency and size of moves into a single, comparable number across any instrument — 160 ETFs and 115 crypto assets on the same footing. We describe the inputs in plain language and show the bands we use; the exact calibration stays ours.
